opresnik.net Basics
This topic explains you the use of opresnik.net/NEUTRON websites and the features contained. Also the technology is explained.
Why is this called NEUTRON you may ask? A neutron is the non-charged part of an atom. An atom is the smallest form of an object upon our world relies, building up the shapes we see every day. As a honor to the Internet and its gread depths, the codename of this site's 4th release is called NEUTRON to show it is only a small part of the whole net.
When watching the overall site structure, you may notice it is being splitted into several parts. See the following image for better explanation:
Depending on the type of page you are viewing, this area is performing different jobs. Here in the Help area for example, you are able to select a recommended topic and return to the article or topic overview pages. The main site displays the Image of the Moment, and on some sites this is the place where the menu and other relevant contents are available. To say it simple: content in the action area varies.
Here the Content is displayed after you have clicked a link.
In Default, the Menu Bar may be located next to the Content Area. However, sometimes the Content Area extends its width and causes the Menu Bar to move upwards into the Action Area
Beside operating with standard PopUp-Windows, this site uses DIV PopUp Technology (DIVPUT), meaning, it displays PopUps in Layers above the original site rather than in different windows. The big advance of this feature is the possibility to practically never leave the main site, because PopUps are located directly in the center of the screen.
To Close a PopUp-Window, klick the CLOSE-Button, or just click the Content (when displaying Images this is the default Task)
One of the Core Topics of this page handles photography and graphic works by me. Therefore, there is a Gallery needed. As a software developer, it is my passion to program a Gallery by myself or merging existing scripts together. Gallery features are explained in a different topic.
There are different types of links across the whole website.
Text Links without any sign refer to a location inside the website, while external signs (
) refer to other locations across the Internet.
Graphical Links, like the ones in the Menu Bar or across the other pages activate or deactivate certain functions on the same site they are displayed.
